Into Action Recovery is a non-profit recovery treatment center dedicated to helping men overcome addiction to alcohol or drugs and go on to create the kind of life they truly desire. Situated in the Greater Vancouver area, Into Action has been transforming lives since 2012, with a clinical team of certified addiction counsellors and professional staff who have excelled in fostering real and lasting change in the men that attend the programs.
The quality of care offered is of utmost importance to us. The residential environment is safe, clean, and quite comfortable, as we want you to feel at home.
No matter how long you’ve been struggling with addiction or what kind of drug you’re struggling with, it’s never too late to recover. We’ve helped many men overcome addictions to alcohol, cocaine, crack, prescription pills, heroin, fentanyl, and more. With our help, you can begin a recovery path toward getting every bit of your life back – and making it even better!
Here at Into Action, we welcome you with open, compassionate arms, ready to work alongside you toward sobriety, healing, and growth. Your recovery is our success, and we take that very seriously.
Treatment begins in the First Stage Residential Program, where you live in a safe and secure environment with a small group of other men who are also working toward recovering from addiction. This first stage introduces you to a lifestyle where recovery is embraced, and sobriety maintained. You’ll spend each day engaging in a structured recovery program that will teach you a variety of tools you can use to cope with all aspects of life without the use of alcohol or drugs.
Your days will consist of a schedule of helpful groups and activities throughout the day designed to improve your entire life. The following are various sessions or activities you’ll experience:
Typically, men stay in the First Stage Residential Program 60 days. All-in-all, you’ll receive plenty of opportunities for self-reflection, healing, and even some recreational time in a common room where you can enjoy your favorite shows on Netflix on a nice sized flat screen TV.
The Second Stage Transitional Program is a transitional process for those who have completed the First Stage Residential Program. It’s for those men who already have sobriety, yet still desire to take time in a semi-structured environment to become stronger in recovery before going back to their home environment. This is an excellent next step for those who are ready to get back to work or school, yet still want the structure and security that a recovery program provides.
We understand reintegrating into the community – and oftentimes life back in your home – can be challenging. The Second Stage Program is just the program that will give you the kind of support you need as you continue to progress toward fully independent living.
In this stage, you’ll commit to remaining sober and clean, attend at least four support meetings per week, commit to one daily chore, and be willing to be randomly drug tested. Residents typically spend 30 days in this stage before moving onto Stage Three or reintegrating back home. You’ll certainly have more freedom in this stage, as it’s more self-directed, but you also have some support and structure to lean on.
The Third Stage Transitional Program is for those men who have completed the Second Stage Program. As a long-term sober living home in a residential community, this program is great for those men who have jobs or attend school, yet aren’t quite ready to live independently. The homes are clean, safe, and comfortable.
It’s much like the Second Stage Program, but it’s geared more for those who desire to stay long-term. The amount of time will vary from person to person, depending on particular needs and desires.
Sober coaches, also known as recovery coaches or licensed interventionists, can help you navigate the winding road that goes along with recovery from addiction. As you probably know, life will throw some curve balls your way – and some of them can be quite challenging. However, if you have a recovery coach on your side, acting as a coach that trains and equips you for success, you’re much more apt to face those challenges without feeling the need to reach for alcohol or drugs.
Sober coaches are usually utilized in early recovery, where you’re still learning and implementing valuable recovery tools learned while in treatment. Our sober coaches are licensed and fully trained in interventions, recovery coaching, and consultation. They’ll keep you accountable, encourage you, and offer their experiences and wisdom.
Timewise, the number of hours per week your sober coach will be available for coaching varies from person to person. You may opt for several hours a week or an hour or so every day – it’s whatever suits you. If you find yourself triggered or struggling, you can call upon your sober coach and process what’s going on in a healthy way. They can also help you modify your treatment plan if necessary.
One thing is for sure – a sober coach is a valuable asset to have on your side. Those that have sober coaches and take serious the role they play tend to have greater success in their recovery, as well as other aspects of their life.
Finding the right alcohol or drug treatment program for you is a process that matters. Oftentimes, people choose a program based solely on the cost, perhaps because of lack of funds. Others look more toward a treatment program that’s more private and/or offers more luxurious services.
There’s no right or wrong on the matter. It’s whatever someone desires. The Inspire wellness addiction treatment plan
